disable run network prompt

When you click on a shortcut that runs a file over the network, like an executable file, you might be greeted with a pop-up window stating...

"The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure..."

To turn this off, follow these steps:

• • Go to START Menu

  • Go to Control Panel

  • Go to Internet Options

  • Go to Security tab

  • Click on "Local Intranet" icon

  • Click on "Sites" button

  • Ensure the box is UNCHECKED for "Automatically detect intranet network"

  • Ensure all three lower check boxes are still checked

  • Click on OK button... and then OK button again.

Note: These steps have been tested and confirmed for Windows XP.
