disable install updates and shutdown

When you want to shut down your computer in Windows Vista or Windows 7 and there are pending Windows updates to install, the computer forces the "shut down" button to also install the updates. Here is how to disable this behavior and allow you to shut down withing installing pending updates:

    • Click Start, in search field, type gpedit.msc and then press Enter.

    • The Local Group Policy Editor will be appear.

    • Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update

    • In the main window, double click the option Do not display Install Updates and Shut Down option in Shut Down Windows dialog box.

    • A windows will appear - choose the Enable option.
